Rembrandt Rascals Fine Art Painting Camp, taught by artist Luke Taft, will start Monday June 5th and run through the summer. The painting camp, held at Eton & Pearl’s Fine Art Gallery, 306 St. Johns Avenue, Palatka, is 1:00 PM to 3:30, Mondays through Wednesdays. All supplies are furnished, including high quality artist grade paints, gallery stretched canvas, brushes, and easels. The cost is $90 for the week or $35 per day and 10% of proceeds are given to Revitalize Historic Palatka Inc to help establish Palatka’s Arts District. The young artist to be need only bring their creativity and art clothes. Each day is a new painting and a different style- Impressionism Monday, Contemporary Tuesday, and Animal Painting Wednesday.
Taft, who received a bachelor of fine arts from the University of New Mexico, has taught art throughout Putnam County since 2008 and has had many award-winning students. Rembrandt Rascals is a fun true fine art workshop for youth and will focus on master painting styles and technique, not manga or anime. No prior experience is needed. Students will discover their inner artist while helping to advance Palatka’s art scene. Studio space is limited, so call Mr. Luke at 386-972-4003 to reserve a spot.
